FAQs

What is the Dream Project?

The Dream Project, founded in 2010, works to bridge the education gap for systematically disadvantaged college-bound students. Since its founding, the Dream Project is one of the only Virginia-based non-profit organizations to provide mentoring and scholarship resources to students with undocumented status.

Where is the Dream Project located?

Our mailing address is P.O. Box 7419, Arlington, VA 22206. The Dream Project team works virtually. Our organization was designed this way so as to pour as many resources as we can into opportunities and funding for the students we serve. We thank our community partners all over Northern Virginia who help us deliver our in-person programming.

Does The Dream Project work outside of Virginia?

The Dream Project’s primary mission is to work to advance education equity within the Virginia commonwealth.

What is the Dream Project’s mission?

The Dream Project empowers students whose immigration status creates barriers to higher education by working with them to succeed in college through scholarships, mentoring, family engagement, and advocacy.

How does The Dream Project work toward achieving its mission?

The Dream Project empowers students whose immigration status creates barriers to higher education through access to Scholarships, Scholar and Alumni Resources, and the Mentoring Program.

Who is a typical Dream Project student?

We work with Virginia-based students whose immigration status creates barriers for higher education, including students that are DACA or TPS recipients, asylum seekers, or have undocumented status. Our Mentoring Program serves high school seniors, our Scholarship supports college students through their entire college career, and our resources support Scholars and Alumni as they land in the professional world.
