Dream Project Executive Director Karen Vallejos Corrales understands from personal experience how higher education is not always guaranteed. In her story, she tells us how family, community, and passion played a role in her pursuit of education and how she now works to enable that future for new aspiring students.

Karen Vallejos Corrales is an experienced advocate for the immigrant community. Her commitment to immigrant rights includes advocacy and leadership that challenges systemic inequities in education. After witnessing the 2010 collapse of the federal DREAM Act, she was one of the founding members of the Dream Project.
