Dream Project Featured on PBS NewsHour

Dream Project Executive Director Karen Vallejos Corrales was recently featured on an episode of PBS NewsHour’s “Brief But Spectacular” series. Karen tells the story of her journey immigrating to the United States from Bolivia, and the obstacles she faced as a formerly undocumented student with dreams to pursue higher education.

Those obstacles helped inspire the founding of The Dream Project, and the dedication to helping other students reach that dream. Listen and watch Karen talk about her advocacy work and her work with The Dream Project below!

As a former undocumented student herself, Vallejos saw the barriers in place that prevent immigrant students from realizing their dreams. She shares her Brief But Spectacular take on Dreamers pursuing higher education.
